At Sloat, we believe that what our students learn in the extra programs provided fosters their creativity and boosts their academic performance.
THE LIBRARY
Each class visits our school library once a week to check out books and more often when resources are needed to complete assignments. Our Librarian, Ms. Rae Ann Donnelly, is assisted by parent volunteers who perform all functions necessary to keep library materials organized and circulating. |

Last year, Ms. Donnelly and a committee of volunteers bar-coded the entire collection of books—a tremendous undertaking. Now the check-in and check-out of books is much more efficient, and the library much more organized.

THE ADOPT-A-BOOK PROGRAM
The Parents' Club sponsors an Adopt-a-Book program each year, which provides families with the opportunity to donate a book to our library. This way, our library grows and improves year after year.
