Multicultural Assemblies

Sloat holds three multicultural assemblies per year, and each is followed by a luncheon. Check the Calendar link for exact dates. If you want to know who is in charge of an assembly to ask questions, volunteer to help, or bring something for the luncheon, click here to see PCO contact list. You can also send an e-mail to sloatparents@gmail.com.

CHINESE NEW YEAR ASSEMBLY
Held in January, this assembly is a rich celebration of Chinese heritage and culture. It usually involves student performances, followed by a luncheon.

AFRICAN AMERICAN HERITAGE ASSEMBLY
Held in February, this is another great celebration that involves student performers, an outside performer, or both. It too is followed by a luncheon.

CINCO DE MAYO ASSEMBLY
This assembly celebrates hispanic culture. Parent volunteers work with students to prepare a wonderful performance, and this event too is followed by a luncheon.
