OVERNIGHT FIELD TRIP
Our two fifth grade teachers plan an incredible overnight field trip at the end of the year for their graduating fifth graders. The focus is on learning, but it's also on fun. Parents come along to help with cooking and chaperoning. It's an unforgettable experience for everyone. A certain 5th grade teacher was even known to get teary eyed talking about it! This field trip is funded by the Parents' Club.

5th GRADE PROMOTION
The 5th graders go through a formal promotion process to honor their transition to middle school. The promotion exercise is followed by a lunch party put on by 5th grade parents. It's a nice way for the 5th graders to formally say goodbye to Commodore Sloat.
